Peer recognition from the creative industry

We’re proud to announce that SRH is the recipient of not just one, but two 2020 MarCom Awards. MarCom Awards recognizes outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design and production of marketing and communication materials and programs.

A MarCom Platinum Award in the category of Motion Graphic Video went to the “Shine Through” campaign we created for Children’s Wisconsin. The Shine Through Anthem Video announced the launch of a 5 year initiative of Children’s Wisconsin to help address the mental and behavioral health crisis in our state. A dynamic beacon of hope and optimism amid the dark realities, the spot utilizes a colorful light-writing aesthetic starring Wisconsin kids to spark interest and involvement from the community, while raising awareness of the critical need.

A MarCom Gold Award for Video/Film: Medical went to our “No Small Moments” video for Dean Health Plan. The assignment was to develop a brand awareness campaign to illustrate how DHP brings humanity back to health insurance. Sequential scenes of everyday life moments and health choices were shot top-down, with textures and surfaces helping to differentiate the vignettes. What acts as a strong connective thread is a recurring rectangular motif — the shape of the Dean Health Plan member card — symbolizing how Dean is “Your Health Plan, For Every Moment.”

Sponsored and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), the 2020 MarCom Awards had nearly 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and 28 other countries. Work submitted to Marcom Awards is evaluated on quality, creativity and resourcefulness with judges’ decisions based on creative excellence. Only about 17% who enter the Marcom Awards earn a platinum and about 24% a gold.
